Rivalry football games to be staged in Miami at Red Robertson Field
(Miami, OK) – Members of the Miami Community Facilities Authority (MCFA) recently met with representatives from Afton, Bluejacket, Commerce and Welch to execute contracts to bring two local rivalry football games to Miami. MCFA is the trust authority that was established by the City of Miami to oversee the $8.8 million dollar stadium renovation project.
Bluejacket and Welch schools will bring their football game to Red Robertson Field on the campus of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College on Thursday, September 4th at 7:30 p.m. The Commerce and Afton match-up will follow on Friday, September 12th at 7:30 p.m.
Event owners may contact the Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (MCVB) at 918-542-4435 to request information to host new events at the stadium.
