Langley Birthday Party Countdown This WEEKEND
The countdown is on with just 3days until Langley celebrates it’s 75th birthday, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Village Park, in Langley. The Birthday festivities will be packed into one huge fun filled day.
The event will kick off with the opening of the Kids Zone sponsored by Public Service Co of Oklahoma and Reasor’s which will include, turtle races, inflatables, face painting, a pet contest, cotton candy, snow cones and much more. There will also be a Kids Fishing Derby sponsored by Sean White at the Langley Courtesy docks.
4 State Insurance will host the Langley 75th Celebration Car Show which will begin at 11:00 am with registration starting at 9:00 am. This event will be held at the north end of Village Park. Music throughout the event will be hosted by the Bank of Grove and Langley Tag Agency. The South Grand Lake Lions Club will host the Annual Chili Cookoff beginning at 11:00 and the Langley Police Department will offer a chance to Dunk A Cop, but the main event will be the ever famous and popular Langley Outhouse Race. The evening will wrap up with a Street Dance featuring Don White and Phil Bethel, beginning at 6:00 pm.
