Har-Ber Village’s Pioneer Days Features Life During the 1800s Nov 7-8.
By current standards, life in the 1800s required hard physical work and ingenuity.  Har-Ber Village Museum in Grove, Okla., brings days of yesteryear to life during Pioneer Day on Friday and Saturday, November 7 and 8.

With regular admission, visitors will explore Dutch oven cooking and tin oven baking, churning butter, playing period games, preparing and spinning flax, banjo making (sat. only), natural dyeing, soap making, blacksmithing, lace making (Sat. only), broom making, knitting and crocheting, flint knapping (Sat. only) and weaving on a barn loom. Visit with the school marm, listen to old time country, gospel and other period music (Sat. only), hear stories, print on a printing press, shell and grind corn (Fri. only), sausage making (Sat. only) and more! Friday is geared for school field trips and space is limited. Groups should call ASAP to serve a space on Friday; no reservations needed for Saturday. Picnics are encouraged as the Back Porch Cafe will not be open, but we will have Indian taco and one other food vendor. broom
