Miami, Oklahoma – Monday, June 22, 2015 – Dr. Jeff Hale, president of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) was recently appointed to Oklahoma’s statewide Complete College America Leadership Team (CCA).
In this role, Hale will represent Oklahoma at local, regional, and national CCA meetings and participate in ongoing discussion at every level regarding initiatives, programs, and activities that best support degree completion. Hale and the team will work cooperatively to ensure the effectiveness of our state’s education platform and evaluate the success and scalability of strategies utilized in other states. Those strategies applicable will then be employed by the committee to optimize the efficacy of Oklahoma’s collegiate institutions.
“College completion is higher education’s top national issue,” Hale said. “The opportunity to help lead Oklahoma’s effort is an assignment I look forward to.”
Other reputable members of this team include:

CCA is the largest Oklahoma educational initiative ever undertaken by the state. Their five-point plans aims to increase degree and certificate completion, promote college readiness, transform remediation and strengthen pathways to certificates and degrees. The plan also aims to expand adult degree completion efforts, and emphasize reward for performance and completion, according to the organization’s website.
Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications Angela Caddell said, “We’re very pleased President Hale has agreed to serve on our Complete College America leadership team. Significant progress is already being made toward our organization’s goals, but President Hale’s insight and achievements in higher education increase our confidence in the continuation of success.”
Data collected from Oklahoma’s colleges and universities indicates the total number of graduates statewide has increased by more than 6,000 since the implementation of the leadership team’s initiatives. The program intends to continue exerting a powerful impact on Oklahoma’s institutions of higher education as well as create and maintain a skilled, college-educated workforce in order to expand the state’s economy.
