The NEO Aqua Tots program is a fun and safe swim program designed for the needs of all ages. Students will be able to explore the aquatic world with the comfort of NEO’s heated pool and pool area. NEO Aqua Tots instructors are American Red Cross certified, and there is always a lifeguard on duty. Guardians can play a role in the child’s learning with high praise, encouragement, review of safety around water, and practice.
While guardians are encouraged to stay for each lesson, actual coaching from guardians during a lesson is discouraged. Interaction from friends and family distracts other students and takes away valuable learning time. Participation in any swimming lesson program does not “drown proof” a child. Constant supervision is still needed for a child around any body of water. Swim diapers are required for Little Ducks during lessons.
For the safety of all participants please have students in the docking zone before each lesson, (located behind diving board). A safety lesson will be given before each class. If hazardous weather (lightning, tornado, etc.) or dangerous road conditions interrupt a lesson, a makeup day will be scheduled.
During the Aqua Tot sessions, please use the SAC entrance and bathrooms. The gym locker rooms will not be available due to basketball games. To register, call (918) 540-6192 or emailaarnold@neo.edu.
