Chief Nursing Officer Angie Bidleman, M.S.N., RN, credits the team of dedicated nurses and the support staff for this honor. “Our nursing staff members work diligently to ensure our patients receive the very best care. It is rewarding to see their efforts recognized by a national organization such as VHA.
“Providing exception patient care begins with a well-trained and very skilled staff. However, to provide this level of care, our staff must also go the extra mile in communicating with our patients and physicians. They must be completely dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our patients and connecting with every patient on a personal level to ensure their needs are met.”
INTEGRIS Grove Hospital continues to focus on opportunities to improve the patient experience and just last year increased the amount of time nurses spend with patients by scheduling more nurses per shift. Nurses typically have no more than four patients to care for. Depending on the acuity level, or how much the care the patients need, nurses may be assigned fewer patients.
